セミの抜け殻やミミズに夢中？！
今日はとっても暑かった。台風一過というのだろうか、朝から日差しが眩しく真夏がぶり返したかのよう。
本日1時間目は午前10:30からの親子クラス(トドラー)。前半、歌や踊りで身体を動かした後、今月の本「This Little Piggy」で楽しむ。２回目の今日はPiggy Glove(子ぶたの手袋)を作成。軍手に予め切っておいた子ぶたの目や耳の材料をボンドで貼り付けていく。その際お母さんには"Give me red."等と切ってある材料の色を言ってもらい、こどもたちに渡してもらう。こどもたちは、かなり大きいPiggy Glove(子ぶたの手袋)をはめ、CDに合わせ手を!?動かしていた。
2時間目と３時間目は幼児クラス(3歳〜6歳児)。Touching Museum(触感博物館・9/2キッズレッスン日記参照)を作成。
外に出て、いろんな物に触っていくのだが今回は両クラスともセミの抜け殻やミミズの死骸に興味津々。抜け殻の背中はsmoothで足の部分はitchy、一枚の葉っぱでも表はsmooth、裏はrough等と、部分によって感触が違うことを、より鮮明に感じていたようだ。
３時間目のクラスは年中・年長クラスで、私に博物館の展示の説明をしてくれた。soft、smooth、itchyは外でたくさん触ってきたためすんなりと口からでていた。やはり「目」で見て「触」って、時に「匂い」をかぎ「口」から出すの行為を繰り返すことで、吸収していく確率が高くなるようだ。
集めてきた物は意気揚々と各自が家に持ち帰っていった。シェアリングの時間でも話したが、是非家でも、こどもと一緒にTouching Museumを作って欲しい。
