たっぷり外遊び
朝起きたときは、涼しくて雨が降りそうな空模様だったが、レッスンが始まる頃には、お日様が顔をのぞかせ、暑い夏が戻ってきていた。
土曜クラス( 年長クラス)2回目の今日は、3ヶ月間休会していたY君を加え、新たにスタート。
教室で♪weather songや♪make-a-circleの歌を思いっきり歌って踊ったら、もうその時点で汗びっしょり。外に行く前に一汗流してしまう。
少し落ち着くために「Tich」の絵本を読む。"Who is this?"の問いかけにともだちの名前を言い、こぞって指を指す。絵本の登場人物にこどもたちの名前を重ね合わせつつ、smallとbigの違いを読み聞かせていく。
いざ、お外に出陣。5つの感触を探し求める旅!?がまた始まった。全員年長で冒険大好きが揃ったこのクラス。ムシを捕まえるのも厭わないワイルドな面々のようだ。そのため、野原の奥までずんずん入って行って、珍しい物を発見してくる。カラスウリや飛んできた綿帽子…。「ふわふわ…soft!!」「ちくちくする。itchy。」とあちらこちらから声がする。
教室に帰ると、一同喉がカラカラ状態。手を洗ってお水をごくごく飲む。この時点ですでに初対面のぎこちなさが、一切無くなっている。おのおのの名前を気軽に呼び合う仲に。外での開放感に加え、触った物を教えたり教えられたりを繰り返し、仲間意識が芽生えたようだ。
さて、Touching Musuem(触感博物館)作成。皆あまりにもたくさん取ってきたため、途中並べるのにギブアップしそうになるが、最後までやり遂げる。
一枚の葉っぱでも様々な感触を持っている。真ん中に置くことを以前私が提案したが、このクラスは違った案を出してくれた。「千切ってそれぞれの場所に置く」という新案だ。こどもたちは考えている、思わずうれしくなった。
