ボランティア「英語で遊ぼう」
午前10:30から、「英語で遊ぼう」のボランティア活動。北与野駅で降り、与野本町児童センターへおじゃました。
良き相棒であるMamiと行っている活動。かれこれ５年くらい続けている。Mamiの住居に近い与野本町と、私の住まいに近いプリムローズで、隔月毎に開催している。
対象は3歳までの未就園児。親子で楽しめる歌や遊びを毎回披露する。参加者は各々の児童館で募集。うれしいことにどちらも毎回満員御礼となる。
本日のテーマはShape(形)とColor(色)。そしてちょこっとHalloween色を加える。ウオーミングアップで身体をほぐした後、身体で形を表現。circle、triangle、square、starを腕や手やお母さんと一緒に表現する。見ただけでは、ふーんで脳裏をかすめて終わってしまうが、身体を使って表現すると、動きと一緒に言葉が出てくるようになる。
色も導入後、「Go Away Big Green Monster」を読む。お教室でも大好評の本だ。本の表紙からして怖いので、こどもたちの顔が恐怖におののいている。「このお化けを追い払うmagic words(魔法の言葉)を言おう!!」というと、皆、耳を傾ける。そして「Go away, yellow eyes!!」と手を大きく振って、追っ払う動作をする。
Go Away, Big Green Monster!
次々と消えるmonsterの顔のパーツに、こどもたちは大喜び。だんだんと声と動作が大きくなってくる。最後に全部monsterがいなくなるとほっとした満面の笑顔。楽しんでくれたのねー、とこちらもうれしくなる瞬間。
応用編で形と色を使ったお絵かき遊びをし、Good-Bye Songで終了。See you someday!!
