のりのりY君
いつもはりきりY君。
今日も一番乗りで"May I come in!!"と入ってきた。ぐるっと教室を眺め回して「ぜ〜んぜん怖くないね。」と大声で。
実はY君は、怖いモノ大嫌い。幼稚園時代は、怖さを「泣く」ことで表現できた。しかし、Y君はもう小学生。どうやら彼の中に「男の子は泣いてはいけない」という確固たるポリシーがあるようなのだ。
Halloweenの飾り付けをしてからというもの、「怖くないよ〜。」というのが教室に入る時の彼の口癖になった。
さて、そんなY君、座って書き物をすることがあまり好きではなかった。テキストを開くのだが、心ここにあらず...。私が"What is it?"とアルファベットを指しても「う〜ん...」。
しかし、今日のY君はなぜか「のりのり」。他の子が個別小テストやホームワークの本読みを私とやっている間、アルファベットの小文字a〜zを2回も書き終えてしまった!! そして一言「ぼく、なんだか楽しいなあ。」。ええーーーーーっ。
毎回びっくり箱を開けているような、新鮮な気分にしてもらえる。感謝!!

へぇ～。中々いい話ですね。正に子供の成長期に、心を培うその瞬間にその場にいることの意味は、言葉で表現できないくらいの感動ですね。そういう幼い頃に培う心がその子の人生を支配するんですもんね。二度と戻れないその瞬間。いや～ドラマを感じます。

ただ、次回に同じように彼のモチベーションがあるかどうかは、判りかねるのですが(苦笑)。
大人もそうですよね。「おっ、今日はなんだか調子がいいじゃん。」なんて時もあれば、「全然やる気な〜し。」っていう時も。
ただ、あきらめず続けること、見続けてあげることが大切なことだと思ってます。
