パブロフの犬!?
「本物のカボチャあ？」
珍しいモノ、新しいモノに敏感なS君の第一声。棚の上に置かれたビニール袋入りのカボチャを見つけ、聞いてきた。
「Yes!! We'll make a Jack-o'-lantern today.」
ひとりづつカボチャを渡し、Five Little PumpkinsのCDをかけると、皆頭にカボチャをのせだした!? 本物のせて落としたら割れちゃうかも、と顔には出さないが内心焦る私をよそに、やはり皆立ち上がる!? お〜い、割れちゃうよ〜(泣)。
そう、それは全て、いつもやっている遊びのせい。Five Little PumpkinsのCDをかけ、プラスチックのジャコランタンを頭にのせて歩くあ・そ・び。「Who can put a jack -o'-lantern on the head longer?誰が長く頭にジャコランタンのせていられる？」と言うかけ声に、みんなしてバランスをとりながら歩く遊びなのだ。バランス感覚も養える!?一挙両得ウオーキング遊びなのだが...。
これを10月に入ってからずーっとやっているため、こどもたちはもはや「パブロフの犬状態」になってしまっているらしい!? このCDがかかってカボチャがあったらやるぞー、みたいな(笑)。
1時間目は年少さんなので、彫るのでは無く顔のシールを貼ってもらった。本当はカービングをしてもらいたかったのだが、今年のカボチャはちょっと堅め。カーブするのはかなり難しそう、と判断して急遽シールにしてしまった。
2時間目は年中さん、年長さんのクラスなのでカービングに挑戦。四苦八苦しながら、それでも最後までしっかり仕上げていた(偉い!!)。
