Aliceからメール
先日教室に訪れたAliceさんからメールが届きました。
Dear Junko,Chiaki and I arrived safely in San Francisco on Tuesday. I am still feeling the jet lag now. It's difficult for me to fall asleep at night and wake up in the morning.
Thank you very much for the delicious Sabu Sabu dinner. I enjoyed my visit to Japan and wished I had more time to do more sightseeing and meet more people. It was a wonderful experience for me to meet with your students and the parents.
I am looking forward to hear from your students. Please tell them that I welcome any questions. Keep up with the good work and please keep in touch.

ということで、無事サンフランシスコに到着し、まだ時差呆けが続いている様子。
SubSub Dinnerとは"しゃぶしゃぶ"のことです。Aliceの本読み会終了後、みんなで木曽路にしゃぶしゃぶを食べに行ったのです。Aliceさんは、何を見ても珍しく着物姿のウエイトレスさんをデジカメに収めておりました。
なんとAliceさん、日本に来て写真を600枚以上撮っています!!
私たち日本人にとって、当たり前の事が、外国から来た方には全てが新鮮。毎日が発見の連続のようです。私もカリフォルニアにいたときそうだったなあ(爆)。
さて、Aliceさんもみんなの手紙を心待ちにしています。懇談会も無事終了。今週はAliceさんへの感謝の色紙を作成したいと思っています。
