They are….
今日はWhat are they?(それらは何ですか？)の文型の導入。
センテンスが書かれた絵カードを見せて
「Tell me about this picture?」(この絵の中にあるもの何か言える？)と問いかけると…
皆の目線が絵に集中。
「It is a box.(箱だよ)」「It is green.(緑色だよ)」「It is nose.(鼻だよ)」「It is W.(Wだよ)」出る出る(汗)。
その次に絵カードのラッピングされている物をさして
「What are they?」(ここにある物はな〜んだ)
となぞなぞ形式に、さりげなく本日のセンテンスを取り入れると…
「Box!!(箱)」「Present!!(プレゼント)」等、想像して答えてくれました。
わからないものを想像するのは楽しいもの。こどもたちの興味津々の顔。
よし、ここでしっかり引きつけて、センテンスの説明をして…。
「じゃあ、さっきペアになった二人が持っている物で同じ物あるかな？」
Y君「bag!!(かばん)」とわざわざbagのところまでペアのR君と行ってさしてくれました(笑)。
そこで私がしっかり「They are bags.(それらはかばんです)」とセンテンスを使用して言い直すと、こどもたちしっかりThey are を使って言ってくれました(すっばらし〜!!)。
のりのりのこどもたちのパワーはすごいものです(笑)。
R君「They are pants.(ズボンです)」
S君「They are erasars.(消しゴムです)」
Y君「They are faces.(顔です)」
次から次へと出してくれます。
しかも、なぜだかペアで腕組みあってにこにこして探してくれるんですね〜(爆)。
何の面白みもないカードのThey areを、ぐっと身近に感じてもらえたかな？
