children's day
今日はこどもの日。
こどもの日って日本特有の行事なのかしら？っとふと疑問に思い、調べて見ることに。
「children's day」で検索してみると…
おおーー、日本だけではなく様々な国で行われていることに驚き!!
日本を含め10ヵ国に「children's day」という名称で存在しているんです。ドイツ、香港、インド、ポーランド、韓国、シンガポール、台湾、タイ、トルコ。
国によってもちろん祝う日も異なり、香港は4月1日、インドは11月14日など、それぞれの由来によって日にちが選ばれているんですね。
これら各国で独自に行われるchildren's dayの他に「International Children's Day(国際的こどもの日)」や「Universal Children's Day(世界こどもの日)」という日もありました。
さてさて、私の周りの「こどもの日」は…
お隣の家では日の丸が掲げられ、お孫さんが遊びに来ていました。
後ろの家は家族で朝早くからお出かけ。
彩湖では、バーベキューやボール遊びに興じる親子が多数訪れていました。
真剣にこどもにバスケのボールの投げ方を教えているお父さんがいました。こういったお休みの日にも、お父さんがこどもたちに、自分の知恵や知識を教える機会がもてるんですね。そして、こどもたちもそれを受け継いでいく。素敵ですね。
