True or False?
１時間目のToddlerレッスンでは、動物さんで遊びました。
サークル状に置いたcolor house(色の家)の中に、ミニチュアの動物を入れていき、真ん中にOld Macdonald had a farmの本を置きます。この本の表紙には、color houseに入れた動物が描かれています。
そして、みんなでLet's go to the farm♪と歌いながら家のまわりを元気に回ります。
歌い終わった所で、一人ずつ家をknock。動物さんを出してから、表紙に同じ動物を置いていきます。
早く自分の番がこないかと、AちゃんもUちゃんも待ち遠しく、ついオープンしそうになる場面も多々見られました(笑)。
今日はAちゃんが、動物さんの名前をぽんぽんと言い、Uちゃんはstop!!と大きい声で言ってくれました(嬉)。
2&3時間目の小学生レッスンは、リスニングを中心に行いました。
True or False(本当それとも嘘)ゲーム。
私が言った事が、嘘か本当か判断し、壁に貼られたYes or Noの場所に移動してもらいます。
Summer is hot.(夏は暑い) Yes or No?(はい、いいえ)
では、summerを既に学んでいた2時間目のクラスは楽勝でした。summerをまだ知らない１時間目の子たち、カンを働かせてYesにしていたようです。
A lion is a big cat.(ライオンは大きいネコである) Yes or No?
では、テレビ等での知識が活きていたのか、ほとんどの子がYesに自信を持っていました。
When it is sunny, drops of water fall from the sky.(晴れの時、雨粒が空から降る) Yes or No?
Noという答えを用意していた私に、T君が猛然と意見!! (汗)
「晴れている時だって、雨降るよーーー!!!」
あっ、確かに。固定観念に縛られていた私、思い知らされました(反省)。
それにしても、こどもたち、しっかり類推してくれました。小学2年生クラスでも7割ほど、小学3〜4年生クラスでは8割の正解率!!
わからない言葉が出ても、わかる言葉から類推し、考えていく力が必要ですよね。
